(Eufaula) – Progress continues for the Lake Eufaula area coalition, “Team Up to Clean Up” as state leaders get involved to help with projects and resources. 

WHO:  State Leaders, Gail Ederer, Exec. Dir. Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and Melody Johnson, Oklahoma Department of Transportation Beautification Coordinator will speak at the next Team Up to Clean Up meeting in Eufaula. They are anxious to help and support the efforts of Save Our Water, Inc., Eufaula Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Eufaula Association efforts to clean up around Lake Eufaula .

WHAT:  Ms. Ederer and Ms. Johnson will be bringing ideas and resources to the Team Up to Clean Up meeting to assist volunteers in this massive community wide effort to organize an anti-litter campaign. 

There will also be a free drawing for a “litter pickup stick” to be given away to a meeting participant.

WHEN:  Friday, October 10 th at 8:30 a.m . 

WHERE:  Trinity Episcopal Church, 3 High St. , Eufaula

WHY:  Members of Save Our Water, the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Eufaula Association believe in order to maintain our water quality and enhance our recreation and tourism value we need to keep our shorelines and area communities clean and litter free.  One way we can do this is to work to reduce litter through education, enforcement and clean up projects.
